NIA and NREC Join Forces for a Greener Philippines
This partnership marks a significant stride toward a greener Philippines. By joining forces, the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) and Northland Renewable Energy Corporation (NREC) aim to harness the potential of NIA’s land for renewable energy projects, focusing on sustainable growth across the country.
The collaboration envisions building mini hydroelectric and solar power plants on NIA properties. These facilities will contribute to a cleaner energy supply for Filipino communities, supporting the shift to renewable resources and enhancing energy access nationwide.
